The great Roman amphitheatrebuilt in the first half of the first century A.D. in the year 1913, it became the largest operatic theatre in the world and the third largest building of its type, it leaves people awestruck with its sheer size and being so well preserved, even today. It is believed that during the 12th century, many battles and several games were hosted here, today it is one of the most grandest theatres in the world with its world-class acoustics.

Over the years it become the backdrop to many famous open-air opera's, Aida was one of the most loved, admired and performed opera's at the arena. The interior is open to the public, though i would recommend Visiting during the opera season, as you won't want to miss out on the opportunity to be a part of these magnificent opera shows at this beautiful amphitheatre.
