The most prominent museum of Verona is Castelvecchio Museum that is transformed from the Scala family castle, the museum reflects Romanesque and Gothic architecture, adorned with paintings of prominent Veronese artists, armours, inscriptions and bells as well the work of Master of Saint Anastasia.
Scarpa’s unique architectural style is visible in the details of the staircases, furnishings, fixtures and doorways, and displays a collection of sculptures from the Roman period, some of the sculptures exhibited are the “Crucifix” and “St. Cecilia and Catherina” by Saint Anastasia. Also included is the Equestrian statue of Cangrade I della Scala, the Holy family by Andrea Mantegna, Madonna with Child by Bellini and many more famous paintings and frescos from the 14th century.
