Vittoriale Museum.

The Vittoriale Museum is situated on the southern coast of Lake Garda in the town of Maderno on the Gardone Riviera and was built by Gabriele D'Annunzio, an Italian Nationalist. The museums unusual charms can be perceived from the collection which includes lots of books, devotional paintings, sculptures, embellishments and decorative's, which he gathered throughout his lifetime, one of the eye catching objects is the stuffed gilded tortoise.

The walls of the museum are beautifully adorned with poet's mottos, outside the museum is an open air theatre, a grand tomb, the motor torpedo boat and the corvette battleship Puglia's beautiful prow ploughing into the ground, and some vintage cars. Every room holds something new and fascinating, it also has the two separate parlors, one for his friends and one for people he didn't like, it's a strange place but certainly worth visiting, you get a flavor of the character of the man and kind of activities that must have made his life a real adventure.

Castelvecchio Museum.

The Castelvecchio Museum is situated in Verona, it was commissioned in 1354 by the Scaligeri WarLord Can grande II to serve as a Military strong hold as well as residential palace. The castle was renovated and beautified by architect Carlo searpa between 1959 and 1973, it now houses the artifacts of Scaligeri dynasty, it is located close to the harbour and has one of the most interesting museums on Lake Garda where you can discover the various facets of Lake Garda.

The rooms are dedicated to the history, economy, cultivation of olives and fishing, the museum also displays a collection of statues, ancient weapons, goldworks, sculpture and other pieces of art. The place is worth visiting, the architectural style is unique in nature which can be visible from the patterns on the doorways, furniture and staircases.

Santuario Madonna Della Corona.

It is a beautiful place carved by cutting the rocks which the tourist finds it to be a miracle in itself, the sanctity of the place can be felt by its peace and harmony, the deep blue sky and the rocky face add to the beauty of the place. The 17th century monastery was built between 1480 and 1552 by the Knights of the Order of Malta. The new sanctuary was built in 1625.

The sanctuary is named after the statue of "Our Lady of the Crown" which was carved by the artist Ludovico but its more commonly known as the "Of the Crown" because of the rock face that surrounds the structure, the story goes that a statue of Our Lady of Sorrows disappeared from the Rodi in 1522 during the Turkish occupation of the island, it later reappeared in Spiazzi in a place that was barely accessible at the summit of the Adige Valley, it is a fantastic place and a must visit with family and friends.

Porto San Giorgio Church.

It is one of the most characteristic monuments and built in the 19th century, this beautiful church has glorious frescos and high marble altar by Aureliano da Milano also containing some relics from St. George, the arched porch has typical mediaeval Roman designs. The church was not only used for praying but also housing nice pieces of sculpture and inscriptions collected from various places.

It houses some of the great collections of Roman inscriptions, liberty style architecture makes the place charming and worth visiting, the town becomes active mostly in summers with lots of events like cinema festivals and entertainment shows, the church is adorned by different styles due to a long period of additions, restorations and alterations.

The wine museum.

The wine museum is situated at Bardolino, the wines are produced at Riviera Veronese near Lake Garda and are then exported to around the world, the most famous wines produced are the Bardolino, in it's versions Classico, the Bianco di Custoza, the Valdadige, Chiaretto and Novello and the Lugana.

People who tend to visit this area can buy the purest wines directly from the vineyard owners, you can discover on your own other places that produce wine, on your visit to Bardolino you will see a large number of cellars situated all along the "wine routes". This place is a must visit For wine lovers, you can admire the display of historical tools for the production of wine, you can also witness the photo gallery of the variety of wines produced in Lake Garda.

The Monte Vecchio Di Pieta.

The oldest building is the Monte Vecchio di Pietà on the piazza at Lake Garda, it gives you a glimpse of the Venetian Renaissance style, it is adorned with ancient Roman stones which were excavated to construct the pizza, the carved stones were arranged in the buildings façade which gives an opportunity for architectural expression.

Monte Vecchio di Pietà also hosts the oldest stone museum which is located on the southern end of the building, the temple has survived the times and provides a fantastic view. On the other side of the Monte Vecchio di Pietà you will find the famous clock Tower, which was constructed in the 14th century and houses a priceless mechanical astronomical clock, which is gold plated and dipicts the sun and the various astronomival symbols, the two statues on the top of the tower strikes the bell.

Arena Di Verona.

The great Roman amphitheatre built in the first half of the first century A.D. in the year 1913, it became the largest operatic theatre in the world and the third largest building of its type, it leaves people awestruck with its sheer size and being so well preserved, even today. It is believed that during the 12th century, many battles and several games were hosted here, today it is one of the most grandest theatres in the world with its world-class acoustics.

Over the years it become the backdrop to many famous open-air opera's, Aida was one of the most loved, admired and performed opera's at the arena. The interior is open to the public, though i would recommend Visiting during the opera season, as you won't want to miss out on the opportunity to be a part of these magnificent opera shows at this beautiful amphitheatre.

Juliets House.

Juliet's house is located in Verona which is a short walk from piazza Erbe in via Cappello, the building was constructed in 13th century, it is a belief that Romeo expressed his eternal love to his beloved Juliet standing under the balcony, in 1920, a small courtyard was built so visitors can gaze the famous balcony which Romeo climbed to watch his lover Juliet.

It is a romantic place and a must visit place for couples, some years ago people in love used to paste their love messages on a piece of paper in Juliet's garden, which is now cleaned up and any such messages are forbidden to be pasted, the place is always crowded with tourists who come from various countries and make wishes for their loved ones, Juliet's birthday is celebrated with great fervor on September 16th every year, on Valentine's Day in February the contest is held to choose the most heartfelt letters.

City Museum.

The city museum is one of the most incredible buildings from the early middle ages, the location of the castle on the top of the "Colle Cidneo" adds to the scenic beauty of the place, the then monastery was constructed by the Lombard "King Desiderio" in 753. The expansion of the monastery was done several times until the "Renaissance", the administration of the monastery is in the hands of municipality.

The place provides an excellent insight into the history of Brescia since the Bronze Age and through the Renaissance, in order to attract tourist's art shows are regularly hosted. The citadel has buildings, bulwarks, drawbridges, courtyards which makes the visit more interesting, the place also has two museums, the "Museo delle Armi Antiche" and the "Museo del Risorgimento", lush green gardens add to the beauty of the place.
